Voor dit kunstwerk heb ik mij laten inspireren door het kunstwerk “unieke vormen van continuïteit in de ruimte” van de futuristische kunstenaar Umberto (=Italiaans voor Hubert) Boccioni uit 1913. Hierin creëerde hij beweging door de combinatie van de vorm (een wandelende figuur) en de suggestie van bewegende lucht rond het lichaam. Dit betreft een Hordeloper die net een horde wil nemen.
De basis van mijn kunstwerk “Umberto in Beweging “Hordeloper”, type 6, is een oude achterderailleur. Ook mijn kunstwerk toont een lopende figuur. Het originele design komt heel mooi tot leven en zorgt voor beweging in deze creatie. Deze creatie is 40 cm lang, 19 cm hoog en 10 cm breed.

For this artwork I was inspired by the artwork “unique forms of continuity in space” by the Futurist artist Umberto (=Italian for Hubert) Boccioni from 1913. In this he created movement through the combination of the form (a walking figure) and the suggestion of moving air around the body.
The basis of my artwork “Umberto, hurdler, type 6” is an old rear derailleur. My artwork shows a hurdler just before taking a hurdle. The original design comes to life beautifully and creates movement in this creation. This creation is 40 cm long, 19 cm high and 10 cm wide.
