Ik vind dat wij als mensheid niet goed omgaan met onze aarde. We moeten ons realiseren dat we bezig zijn haar te uit te putten en verwoesten. Ik heb dit uitgebeeld in drie schilderijen.

Het begint met het besef dat Moeder Aarde die als een levensboom alle levende wezens baart. Ze staat stevig verankerd in de grond. Wij allen zijn haar nakomelingen en gelijk, of we nu planten, dieren of mensen zijn. Als we dit zouden beseffen dan zouden we in vrede en harmonie naast elkaar kunnen leven.
It starts with the realization that Mother Earth, like a tree of life, gives birth to all living beings. It is firmly anchored in the ground. We are all her descendants and equal, whether we are plants, animals or humans. If we realized this, we could live side by side in peace and harmony.

Maar de mensheid ziet zichzelf als de dominante soort en heeft de wil alles te overheersen. De levensboom heeft het moeilijk, schreeuwt het uit van wanhoop! Moeder aarde zoogt hem uit alle macht met haar voedingsrijke lichaamssappen. Maar het harmonieuze aura dat hem omringd word steeds zwakker. De kern is nog beschermd maar luchtvervuiling en overbevolking hebben de buitenste takken al in vuur en vlam gezet. We streven af op een doemscenario.
But humanity sees itself as the dominant species and has the will to dominate everything. The tree of life is struggling, cries out in despair! Mother Earth suckles him with all her might with her nutrient-rich bodily fluids. But the harmonious aura that surrounds him grows weaker and weaker. The core is still protected, but air pollution and overpopulation have already set the outer branches ablaze. We are aiming for a doomsday scenario.

We hebben gefaalt!!! De mensheid heeft door zijn egoistische gedrag de aarde en daarmee zichzelf vernietigd. Alle voedingstoffen zijn uit de bodem verdwenen, de aarde is versteend overstroomd met het bloed van onze schepper. De lucht is toxisch, de levensboom is niet meer dan een eenzaam kruis boven op een heuvel. Als een man die alleen zijn lustig wil bevredigen bij een vrouw, niet rekening houdend met haar behoeften, hebben wij haar de kleren van het lijf gescheurd en tot bloedens toe en tot de dood erop volgent bruut verkracht. In de lucht dwalen nog slechts dolende zielen.
We failed!!! Humanity has destroyed the earth and thus itself through its selfish behavior. All nutrients have disappeared from the soil, the earth is petrified and flooded with the blood of our creator. The air is toxic, the tree of life is no more than a lonely cross on top of a hill. Like a man who only wants to satisfy his lust with a woman, disregarding her needs, we ripped her clothes off and brutally raped her until she bled and died. Only wandering souls are left in the air.
